How does PDT Bio-Light Phototherapy Repairs Skin?
After laser treatment or acid peeling, we often need to use a device for repair. What kind of device is it? It’s called PDT Bio-Light or Photodynamic therapy.
For the repair function of PDT, we use a red light source, which we have a relatively clear description of in the textbook, among which red light is the one we use most, followed by yellow light.
Then after the laser treatment, the skin may be hot and painful, right? At this time, it is in an inflammatory period. some parts of the skin may be stimulated by some laser or acid, resulting in slight skin damage after treatment. For the repair at this time, we hope that the fibroblasts and epidermal cells will grow up as soon as possible. In this case, the repair of the skin will be faster, and the effect of our treatment can be maintained, reducing sensitivity and coloration. then what should we do? The best way is to use PDT for irradiation after laser or acid peeling. We have to remember that we don’t use blue light for repair, because blue light is anti-inflammatory or acne treatment. After laser treatment, we generally use red light for 10 to 15 minutes, or yellow light for 10 to 15 minutes.
And in irradiation, what can we use? Apply 2% supramolecular salicylic acid to the whole face, because salicylic acid has a good anti-inflammatory effect and a certain moisturizing effect. When we apply it during irradiation, we will have a very good comprehensive effect. Then after this treatment, the anti-inflammatory repair and whitening effect of the skin is about two to three times higher than that without PDT. it is best to use PDT immediately after laser treatment, and then irradiate two to three times within a week. After comparison, we will know that the effect will be very obvious.
